Online module on entrepreneurship and event production with Shanghai Accounting School

Early this morning, Finnish time began the formal ceremony that marked the start of a new type of training cooperation between Gradia and Shanghai Accounting School (SCAS):  a qualification module that will be mainly delivered online.  Nearly 30 Chinese students will complete parts of a business event production and entrepreneurship module under the guidance of Lead Experts Johanna Ärling and Sanna-Maaria Mäkelä. The learning process will be implemented online using a co-teaching method, supported by two SCAS  teachers during the spring and summer terms.

"The atmosphere during the opening ceremony was very immersive. The students selected for the program are enthusiastic about the involvement of Finnish experts and they actively asked the Gradia lecturers many questions," says Pauliina Holm, Global Partnerships Manager. "Product development work and tailor-made implementation and various experiments are also inspiring for the experts involved."

The module implementation draws from Gradia's award-winning entrepreneurial learning model. It stresses the importance of an entrepreneurial mindset, continuous learning, teamwork and self-development. The participants’ competences for innovative and creative thinking are further strengthened by concrete tasks including the design, implementation and marketing of events.

The module will end in the autumn during a closing event in Shanghai where representatives of local companies from Shanghai will be involved in the assessment of acquired skills and competences.
