Job Shadowing in Gradia

At the beginning of June,  Gradia was happy to host the prestigious guests from the Vocational Education Association of China.

This visit was a good continuation for our co-operation between China and Finland. Just a couple of days ago two teachers from Shanghai Industrial and Foreign Language School returned back home from a month-long Job Shadowing period.

Fruitful co-operation

Education exports is a long-term cooperation that benefits both the customers and service providers know-how. A tailor-made vocational qualification or models of vocational qualifications requires mutual planning and implementing. Our Job Shadowing topics were Learning by doing, Individual study paths, Assessment, Project learning, Co-operation with working life and much more. Co-operation was really fruitful.

First in Finland

Gradia is the first in Finland to provide accredited vocational qualifications and professional qualifications and have concluded numerous successful projects abroad working together with EduCluster Finland and Gradia Education Services Ltd. Students have given excellent feedback on vocational training arranged according to the Finnish model.

Competences for Working Life

Gradia is one of eleven training providers in Finland who received a pilot license for vocational education degrees at the end of 2016. In this spring the experiment progressed so that the first certificates of completion of qualifications were awarded in China in March and in Qatar in May 2018. The completion of upper secondary education gives students eligibility to higher education and competences for working life.
